Entanglement along quantum computation

We analyze the role of entanglement along adiabatic quantum computation for the 3-SAT NP-complete problem. Numerical evidence shows that entanglement pervades the register as if it were approaching a quantum phase transition. This result is compared to the amount of entanglement present in spin chains.
