WelcomeI am a professor at the Mathematics Department of Instituto Superior Técnico.
I am a geometer and my research interests include Poisson and symplectic geometry, Lie theory and integrable systems. I belong to the Center for Mathematical Analysis, Geometry, and Dynamical Systems. I am Editor of Portugaliæ Mathematica and an Associate Editor of Journal of Geometric Mechanics. I am a member of the executive committee of the European Mathematical Society. ***Please note that I have moved to the Department of Mathematics of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where I have assumed the position of Lois M.
