There will be a welcome reception on Monday evening, after the end of the first conference day, to be held next to the gardens of Palácio de Cristal.
The evening of Wednesday is a special
night in Oporto, the Night of São João.
This is a must see event on the streets of Oporto! At
midnight there are fireworks on both sides of the river.
You have probably never seen anything like it, and
we strong advise you to join the party!
Thursday is the Day of São João,
a city holiday, when almost everyone has a terrible hangover!
There will be an excursion to Guimarães, a nearby city.
Guimarães has a very pleasent historical center, where
we shall have lunch. Afterwards you will have the opportunity
to visit the Castle, a landmark in the foundation of Portugal.
