10/2007 - 09/2008: postdoctoral position at the Demokritos Nuclear Research Centre in Athens/Greece in the group of George Savvidy as part of the Marie Curie Research and Training Network ENRAGE.

11/2005 - 09/2006: ten months visit in Paris, Saclay (CEA/SPhT), working in the string group with Ruben Minasian (second referee of my PhD thesis), Mariana Graña, Pierre Vanhove et al.

03/2003-09/2007 PhD studies at the Vienna University of Technology ( TU Vienna) with supervisor Maximilian Kreuzer. The PhD-thesis ''Superstrings in General Backgrounds'' was submitted at August 16, 2007 and defended at September 10, 2007.

10/2001 - 10/2002 extramural physics diploma thesis with the title ''effektive Wirkungen in der Stringtheorie'' (effective actions in string theory) at the LMU Munich with advisor Ivo Sachs . Part of this work was done from May '02 until July '02 at the Trinity College in Dublin.

10/1998 - fall 1999: additional studies of mathematics at the Munich University of Technology, terminated after successfully having passed the ''Vordiplom'' (intermediate exams)

1999/2000: three and a half months studies as a guest of the math department at the ''State University of New York, Stony Brook''
