Introduction to conformal field theory.

String interactions: tree-level and one-loop amplitudes.

Compactification and T-duality: toroidal and orbifold compactications, closed strings and T-duality.

Fermionic string. RNS string. GSO projection.

Modular invariance.

Low energy effective actions.

Buscher duality.
