The D-Kadomtsev–Petviashvili and its grassmannian descriptionThe Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (KP) equation is an important equation in fluid dynamics: it describes sea waves. It is an integrable model, meaning that we can find "all" solutions. In fact, the solutions are described by a purely geometric object, the grassmaniann. In the case of the equation D-KP (the orthogonal variation of KP) the solutions are described by isotropic grassmannians. In this talk, I'll explain how from an isotropic grassmannian we can build a solution for this equation.
