Excellent Técnico Faculty Honored on IST Day

As part of the IST Day celebrations, Técnico’s Excellent Faculty were recognized for their dedication and impact on teaching. Among the honorees was the Técnico Excellence in Teaching Award (1st cycle), awarded to Professor Miguel Abreu for his outstanding work in Calculus I. This award highlights the Department of Mathematics’ tradition of excellence, this being the third consecutive time that this award is given to professors of the department. In 2025 it was awarded to Professor Hugo Tavares for his classes of Calculus II and in 2024, to Professor Nuno Martins for his classes of Linear Algebra.
